Jackson reDD / VOCALS + GUITAR

Cutting his teeth on the chopped-up rhythm of funk players such as Eddie Hazel and Johnny Guitar Watson, Jackson's formative years were spent playing in funk and ska bands, where he began to hone his songwriting abilities. When he began playing guitar and singing lead vocals for Augusta, Georgia-based alternative act, Willess, he had all but given up hope on following a lifelong dream of professional music. With the release of their first EP in August of 2017, though, Willess brought Redd back to the forefront of the Southeastern alternative rock scene, leaving a trail of darkly-humorous songwriting and scorching lead licks in his wake.

Born and raised in New Smyrna Beach, FL, Matt didn't start his music career until his parents relocated him to a suburb of Augusta, GA. Once there, he made his first guitar purchase-a Peavy electric-and hasn't put a down a guitar since. Over the years Matt has been heavily involved in multiple local bands including Spur, The Never Was, Undone (a Weezer tribute band), The Mothalickas, The Guilded Youth and The Good Fortunes. Matt has an extensive guitar collection, but his main squeeze is a Gibson SG.

Pep started early in music with piano lessons at six years old. He switched over to bass guitar at twelve. Pep studied the double bass as a Jazz Studies and Music Composition major at Bowling Green State University in Ohio. There, he gained a lot of experience performing in the orchestra, jazz combos, new music ensemble and various mixed ensembles. On top of playing with Willess he occasionally collaborates with other local musicians in Augusta.

Aaron is the only member of the band that has played guitar, bass and drums live. The multi-instrumentalist was born and raised in Augusta, GA. When he isn't working or playing music, Aaron is an avid bike rider.
